Sleep and Learned Helplessness

I’ve been dealing with a period of insomnia caused by stress, because of my job, and have been trying to fix my sleep schedule. When looking online for tips, I can’t help but feel a sense of learned helplessness. “Don’t look at any screens, eat, or look at social media two hours before bed” – I work 11 hour days and hardly get a chance to look at my phone. I get home at 9 and aim to get to bed at 11 so I guess I shouldn’t have a life outside of work and skip dinner to fix my sleep schedule. “Work out in the afternoon” – yeah I’m not taking my lunch break at true gym thanks “Avoid stress” – lol The only thing I can do is get 8 hours of sleep, wake up at 7 and have 45 minutes to get ready to leave. So I guess the best way to fix your sleep schedule is to not have a job.
