So much suffering for so little joy.

As a middle class American there is so much suffering that occurs to support my lifestyle. Pseudo-slaves are mining cobalt in Africa for my electronics. Wage slaves in China and Indonesia are making the clothes I’ll wear tomorrow. Poor farmers in Mexico and South America are growing food I’ll buy at the grocery store. With all of this outsourced labor I should feel like a king, right? I should be living a great life of ease, right? No. All of this suffering by other people so I can suffer in silent stress in my corporate job while being well fed, warmly dressed, and plugged in. And feel guilty about my existence’s impact on those that are less fortunate than I. This whole system is so stupid.
