Not a controversial statement. And frankly should be a regular reminder to business owners who feel entitled to our labor without paying us a living wage. They want to act like they're broke, then they should be called out for the behavior. People need to be able to make money to live. Shouldn't be having our lives run by temporarily embarrassed billionaires.
