I was a contractor yrs ago working for this well known investment company( still around,) I worked in HR, walked into 70 open positions that needed to be filled so I worked 10-11 hours days trying to fill these roles. 6 mos go by mgr told me they were ending my contact, it happens when you are a contractor. I ask why she wouldn't give me a straight answer I pressed her she stated that she questioned all the hours I worked I told her how do you think I filled those jobs, I was still working on some but filled about half.
I wasn't thrilled working there so I didn't press it. I ask when we could meet so I could update her on the status of my work. She kept putting it off finally said that she didn't have the time to sit with me, mind you this was 2 days before I was leaving. In the meantime still having meetings with mgrs setting up appts never told to them I was leaving, just kept things moving along, right before I left, delete all my emails and files put my folders on my desk and left. Hopefully she was able to figure it all out herself
