Stuck in a horrible job because of a much needed work-visa (country: Netherlands)

I am an expat, living in the Netherlands, and am employed on a highly skilled migrant work-visa. While I would love to continue living here long term (love this country!), I have been unfortunate to be hired into a really toxic company, which has an office here, but is headquartered in the US. I am an expat, living in the Netherlands, and am employed on a highly skilled migrant work-visa. While I would love to continue living here long term (love this country!), I have been unfortunate to be hired into a really toxic company, which has an office here, but is headquartered in the US. I am eager to move to another job, but I realise that I'd get only a 3-month grace period (if I resign, or am terminated), to find another one, before I need to pack up and leave. I am applying for some jobs on the side, but am also looking at other options such as starting my own business, in partnership with some trusted friends. My temp contract ends in 6 months, and I am wondering if I should sick it up, and use this time to find a job at peace. Or start actively looking for something sooner, especially because I am struggling each day, and it has been affecting my sleep, my health and overall anxiety level. Given that I am very keen to continue living in the NL, any thoughts, advise or direction will be very helpful. Thank you. p.s. one of my Dutch friends also recommended the “registered partner” route to live here and buy the time to find a job, but i am not even sure if that is a good idea (ethically, morally speaking).
