I'll keep this short as possible. English is not my first language.
I've been fighting for five months with my supervisor to attend a 3-day training program and have the company pay it. It would benefit my work extremely and I would be certified to take up additional tasks that I am not allowed to do currently.
It was a lot of back and forth, and my supervisor kept saying “if we pay it for you, everybody will want the training”. As far as I know I'm the only employee who has ever requested a training program, everybody else just does minimum work (which I should do, too…).
After talking a lot to HR and even the CEO, having to sign a specific contract and a lot of other paperwork, I actually got the program approved. Yay! I thought, that was it.
But today, I got an e-mail from our marketing team (which my supervisor is part of) basically saying “hey now that you'll attend this training program… We'd love to post this on social media and show what an awesome company we are by giving our employees such great opportunities! Can we get some details from you about the program?”
I'm inclined to provide the details. Telling them how the company put one obstacle after another in my way and how happy I would be to see a social media post about the hypocrisy of our company. F*ck them, seriously.
I'll take suggestions from you what i should answer.
