I’m truly within inches of getting fired – it’s not if, it’s when, and the when is within the next 7-21 days. There’s a lot that happened to get us here, things that I take accountability for and things that the company will never take accountability for.
I got my final disciplinary letter last Monday. On Saturday, I emailed my district coordinator and direct boss saying I’d be taking off this whole week to celebrate my one year anniversary of being clean. It was a bold move but fuck them. Monday morning, the coordinator responded saying she put my vacation in and it was just pending the boss’ approval.
That boss is away on business this week and hasn’t answered to approve/deny my vacation. So all day I’ve heard nothing, I check my work phone at 11pm to see a missed call at 4:50pm from the boss boss (the guy above the guy I report to). No voicemail or text, just a missed call.
I’m afraid. I don’t know why, I guess this whole situation fucking sucks and I don’t wanna call this guy back. What do I do?
