A web of temp agencies. Millions in tax refunds, Feb. 18
So, this is the real reason behind the growth of temporary work permits in Canada.
These people get cycled unknowingly through multiple “ghost” temp agencies by companies that claim them for “input tax credits.” They are treated as material inputs, no different from bags of flour fed into an industrial bread maker.
The federal government should never have permitted such a parasitic obtuse Byzantine program to flourish through tax credits, despite the obvious potential for abuse.
What’s next? Will businesses lock workers inside to work long shifts, as has been done at other factories, where fires have killed trapped workers?
When the federal government talks about job transitioning for the future, is this what the future looks like?
