Just went through a second round of interviews, I think it’s the last but am not 100% sure. In my first interview they told me they’d do a reference and background check, but there wasn’t an opportunity to list references in the initial application.
Now I’m so worried they’re gonna call my current employer for a reference, because I haven’t told them I plan on leaving. I went and edited my application and uploaded a document with references, but am afraid it’s too late for them to see. I’m applying to a university and on other applications there’s been a specific section to upload references, but not for this position. I’m also worried this means they aren’t interested if they didn’t ask.
Could use some reassurance. Idk, I’m just nervous.
