Jeff Bezos bought a $500 million yacht and is worth billions. Elon Musk spent $44 billion on Twitter.
Can we even understand what these numbers mean?
Can we begin to fathom the wealth? Can you begin to imagine?
You could make $10000 per day for many thousands of years and not be close to the worth of someone like Musk. Yet, school lunch for free is up for debate. Housing is considered a luxury. Food is at a premium. Cars are sold at double to triple price due to “market adjustment”.
When the fuck does this stop?
Think about this for one minute. Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion. Think of this injected into programs to house, feed, and secure help for the nation. California camp-scapes. School lunches being paid for by children working lemonade stands for their peers.
This country is Capitalism in the last stages of extreme greed. Musk bought Twitter instead of fueling progress in eliminating problems. If this isn't a fucking wake up call that the rich need to be eaten, there is little other. The government supports and endorses this.
Think of this: Jeff Bezos bought something subjectively worth more than thousands of you are worth in a lifetime of work in a mere moment. For no other reason than he is Jeff Bezos and you are not.
So for anyone living in poverty and barely able to eat, be comforted that Musk owns Twitter and Bezos has a fantastic superyacht with a sister yacht for his girlfriend's helipad because it wouldn't fit on the main one.
Like 8 dudes in the world own everything on the planet. And it should piss you the fuck off.
