The high road also leads to hell

This is honestly just a rant…but also a word of caution, I guess? I left a job 3ish months ago on what I thought were good terms. I gave notice, closed out projects, trained my coverage, documented everything and provided input so some projects could go on autopilot for some time without me. Well, I have spies left on the inside and they have told me I’m being blamed for EVERYTHING. Stuff not part of my old department, saying I didn’t do stuff that I did do like training sessions that I RECORDED with the people saying I never trained them, and even going so far as to blame their own mistakes on me because I’m not there to defend it. For that last one my spy on the inside looked at the audit logs and saw that the person saying I broke something is the one that broke it,…

Anyway, hurts my feelings a little because I did good work and took the high road and my reputation has still tanked. I would rather have had more time off before the next job if I knew they’d be this shitty.
