the higher up the career ladder, the worse the mental illness

Anybody else noticed this? About 12 years out of school working for 4 different organizations, both private and public with about the past three years spent interviewing at many many companies so by this point I feel confident in my conclusion on this topic. As it says on the tin, it seems to me that the higher up the ladder someone moves up, or is allowed to move up, the worse the personality traits said person tends to have. Whether that be narcissistic personality or psychopathic traits or straight up mental deficiencies in some way.
