New boss came to see what I do. Lasted 1/2 hour. Begged off.
I remembered that the bosses are not my friends.
I did not offer any personal info that he did not need to know.
I still suspect he has been brought in to [find ways to] get rid of the old boss and me because of our age.
I am going to apply for retirement and keep working here until I am forced out, using the extra money to pay down the mortgage and to save some more.
I may downsize to a used trailer at some point or move to Ecuador or somewhere.
I do not know what will happen. I do know that I am protecting my own interests.
I freak out a bit because I have not decided all of my future as a retired [but somewhat broke] older person [who will be donating plasma and showing up for free meals].
I am a title bit less freaked out as I continue to explore all of my options.
