Sorry, if this is a bit OT
So I'm non-traditional student. That means I'm in my 40's and back in school to re-train for a different type of career. It also means that I'm old enough to be the parent of most of my classmates and frequently find myself annoyed by their lack of life experience and common sense. I take courses while working a regular job because I have an employer who is willing to be flexible. One of my courses this term requires group projects (ugh) and the self-appointed project leader decided that we needed to complete the project in record time. We have 3 weeks to complete the project., She's been hounding me the last week about how she does't know how she's going to be able to put my name on the project if I don't complete something soon yada yada. I stood up to her and told her that I needed more time and I'd let her know by Tuesday (basically extra 4 days) if I couldn't complete my work. She promptly reassigned my work to another student and had him overwrite the work I had done claiming there were “errors” in it. Fuck that, grasshopper. I've been using Excel longer than you've been alive. Then she came back and harped on how she wasn't going to be able to put that I contributed anything on the report. I lost it and informed her that if she'd given me the time I asked for, I would have been able to complete my section, but no, because I wasn't working at the speed she wanted, she decided to fuck up my contribution. I further informed her that I felt that if I agreed to write up the conclusion and didn't finish it within the next 24-48 hours, she'd do the same thing and then screw me over on my contribution again. Then I told her to go fuck herself and do whatever she said, copied my note to the group chat, where someone said “well you had to 2 weeks….” I informed that little whiner that I fucking work 9-5 for a living so I'm not homeless and basically told them that if they were going to say I didn't contribute they should have the balls to be honest and say it's because they didn't want to give me the time to finish. All this to say that, horrible bosses apparently start being horrible managers really young. This person will go on (probably) to terrorize many an employee over the course of her career.
