The ole switcharoo

Applied for an “Event Manager” position at a charity company. Salary description said $40-$50K starting. “Great” i think “ive been doing high profile events for the last 10 years, easy.” First interview was a group zoom. And got what i needed. I get to their office at 8:30am dressed smart, resume in hand all that jazz. Interviewer tells me “we dont do event galas or red carpet events anymore” the proceeds to show me a pay scale of $500-$600 per week “with bonuses for every person you get to sign up and donate” and how over 6 months you can work your way up to a “managment” position. Fucking charity companies are a scam. Their idea of an “event” is people getting you to donate money outside of a Krogers.

These companies are losing their damn minds.
