I'm disabled and recently got COVID, it was horrible and I almost died – I'm still recovering but it's a slow process building back up my energy levels and stamina. Work seemed to be really supportive over emails, even suggested I get an extra weeks sick note and “ease” back in to work. I have been doing all of the jobs assigned to me so it's not like things are falling behind or slipping through the cracks.
However I have since discovered that instead of just taking my word for it – I'm filling in a timesheet stating the hours I've work (even included when I took a break) and what jobs I've got done – they have been monitoring what I've been doing. They're checking what time I send emails, when the system logs jobs I've done (it doesn't log everything I do) and making comments about how much I've done and how long THEY think it should have taken.
I'm the only member of staff being monitored. I can't but feel the (shitty) pay just isn't worth being monitored like this. Its making me feel paranoid that I'm not doing enough or working hard enough. I really hate my manager right now.
I should just quit now but I can't bills with buttons.
