The social acceptance of ghosting is absolutely disgusting

The last 3 interviews I've had, I've been completely ghosted, even with multiple follow ups. 2 of them were just with the recruiter as an initial screening, both ghosted completely even with a follow up. The third I had a recruiter screening and an hour long interview with the hiring manager. Sent thank you letters afterwards to both, with no response. Didnt hear anything for a week, followed up with the recruiter, she mentioned that she was speaking to the hiring manager in a few days, and would follow up after that. Another week goes by, and I follow up again, this time with both the recruiter and hiring manager. Absolutely no response. A few weeks later, I see the job reposted on LinkedIn, so I send a last message to the recruiter, with a note saying I saw it reposted, and if you havent found anyone yet, I would…

A few weeks later, I see the job reposted on LinkedIn, so I send a last message to the recruiter, with a note saying I saw it reposted, and if you havent found anyone yet, I would still be interested (even with all the red flags so far, it was worth a shot). And then you guessed it, no response.
A company expects me to take hours of my life, between the actual interviews, and researching the company before the interview, and tailoring my resume to even GET an interview, but they cant even respond to an email with a form letter saying they're not going to hire me. It's downright insulting. I'm not even expecting a response just from submitting a resume, but if I speak to a human, at least have the decency to send a rejection.
