Seriously. That's all it will take to fix shit.
Before u retch too far and pull a muscle, hear me out.
Everybody knows somebody unemployed, get them to sit your kids. Take them to daycare. Switch shifts at work. Whatever. Just find someone to watch your kids while u work.
Very important, follow the letter of the law to homeschool your kids. U may have to prove u have an education such as a diploma or GED, u may have to send a letter of intent, u may have to register with the school district to do testing for your kids. Whatever. Do that. There are great homeschool resources all over the place and lawyers available through those groups which u can join and they can help with any fine details, or inevitably, slap back if the school gets mouthy about it. But either way, do it. U don't have to be the one to teach your kids, u could have them taught by someone else or join a homeschool group and share some of the duties. I homeschooled for a couple years due to covid and its really not very hard to do.
Now this will piss off the schools. This will piss off the government. CPS can't really do anything if everyone is doing it, and it's totally legal in every state to choose to homeschool your children anyway. But we all know CPS are dicks, so just tell them to come back with a warrant. Problem solved.
You'll still be working so you'll still have insurance. U may even qualify for some extra benefits, such as child care supplements. The people that are watching your kids who are unemployed are now making some money. You're not having to stand on a corner with a sign in protest or not shop at any particular store to boycott anything.
All u have to do is just stop sending your kids to school. Even if it wasn't everybody, as long as enough people participate, and especially in some key locations, this would cause a massive shift in power to the people.
The government wants our kids in school. Our communities need our kids in school. They're little baby dollar signs after all, but only if they're enrolled and actively going. They don't get money if kids don't go.
Eventually, and probably pretty quickly, things would change. Some of our demands would be met. We want better education at reasonable prices. We want better Healthcare for reasonable money. We want better wages that afford us the ability to live, as promised.
Do not come at me with the ides that minimum wage wasn't meant to allow a family to live outside if poverty. We all have the power of Google, use it. It was absolutely meant to sustain us reasonably.
Whatever else we want, we make it clear at a local level and let it escalate. That's the point. We get to have a say what happens to us and our government has forgotten that. All we have to do to get that power back is take back control of our children, which we are legally obligated and allowed to do.
It shouldn't be this hard to get people to do the simplest thing to fix our nation. Stop making it more difficult than it is. Use the rights we are afforded and turn the tables.
