The US economy is under a lot of duress

The entire US works on a skeleton crew. Industries are built on people but they make the least amount of people do the most of the work. I'm seen this across industries – Shortage of doctors for patients – Shortage of wait staff in restaurants – Shortage of air traffic controllers – Shortage of personnel in airports for anything from help desk to baggage It almost seems like the capitalist overlords are trying to recover the lack of “demand” during Covid by running a minimal crew and getting the work done. They pay people less so more quit, and with that shitty pay, no one is going to join. More quit cause of the burden. I don't know if the pandemic is the cause here because we are supposed to be recovering from this now. But, the decisions made at the corporate level are causing the industries to run under…

The entire US works on a skeleton crew. Industries are built on people but they make the least amount of people do the most of the work.

I'm seen this across industries

– Shortage of doctors for patients

– Shortage of wait staff in restaurants

– Shortage of air traffic controllers

– Shortage of personnel in airports for anything from help desk to baggage

It almost seems like the capitalist overlords are trying to recover the lack of “demand” during Covid by running a minimal crew and getting the work done.

They pay people less so more quit, and with that shitty pay, no one is going to join. More quit cause of the burden.

I don't know if the pandemic is the cause here because we are supposed to be recovering from this now. But, the decisions made at the corporate level are causing the industries to run under duress.

This affects the people working, the consumer, and everyone in between.

There's no healthy outcome to this profit-mongering world. This economy thrives on consumption but it will crumble this way.

I see a bleak future for the US and even the other parts of the West (UK – NHS, Canada – Healthcare system in stress)
