The sad part about this is that I was doing a great job, learning a lot, and undoing the past mistakes and arrogancies of the previous IT people. But the Scout executive was too “buddy-buddy” with the toxic “high” performer (he was actually shit at his job but good at making it look like he was achieving a lot – common with a lot of these old guys in IT).
So I sent out this email to all my co-workers to let them know why their favorite IT person quit.
And yes, I will release the recording. It honestly is going to be a little re-traumatizing to go through it to edit out personal information, but I will get through it.
I also am going through the work of talking to lawyers about potentially suing for hostile work environment.
