So I went back to working at this gas station that I had previously been employed. I had been there for over a year never had a write up never got reprimanded. I even worked for 3 weeks straight there where my “weekends” were spent at another gas station (same owner just the next town over) and eventually switched to full time over at that location. There were 3 full time employees including me and 2 part time employees. So no one could call out cuz we weren't allowed to close the store (even during bad weather)
I was the night shift. For all of my 9 hour shifts I was alone running a truck stop. I'm thin and young it was scary. But I did it and then I got robbed so I sent my assistant manager (who was really my manager they just didn't want to pay her for it, just do all the work of one) a formal text saying I quit 2 days after i caught the guy who robbed us!!( it was the end of my shift I'm not heartless). The job I wanted was taking to long to call me back after 2 weeks so I filed for unemployment. And Io and behold!!! They denied me saying I lied about misconduct…….
My old coworker still works there and he said 4 days after I quit the owner came in and wrote me up for the robbery and put it in my file that still exists. Oh yeah and they still call me asking if I will come back its been over a month since I quit and they can't get anyone to stay.
I'm at a loss I just needed to rant sorry
