I’ve been working at this company for abit over 10 years now. It’s my second home. I’ve been asking for a raise for 2 years now. They’ve refused it. At some point I was getting paid less than new hires, until I spoke up. Well recently an employee resigned due to finding better pay. Shortly after they gave me $1.25 raise, making my earnings $23/hr. I assumed they were scared of losing another employee. I find out today they hired a handful of employees, and are paying them $23/hr. I began working at this job when they first opened, I feel like it’s a slap in the face to give me a raise just so I match the new hires pay. I’m currently looking for a new job, but I also feel entitled to fight for myself and say something.
