Is this a normal occurrence at your companies? When I’m busy at work, I switch my team's status to busy so I can get work done. I received a note from someone that they were scared to reach out to me because I showed up as busy, and then my boss said, make sure you always show as available because we should always be available whenever someone has a question. Is this the same at your jobs?
