Threatened with termination for discussing wages.

Hey! I’ve seen this one before! You may say to yourself. Seems there’s no shortage of boomers who think “discussing wages is grounds for immediate termination”. Well have I got a story for you. My boss, let’s call them “D”. Informed me, in full view of 10 other employees, that discussing wages is immediate grounds for termination under company policy. I then informed “D” that discussing wages is a federally protected activity. Get this shit. “D” proceeds to say, “Company policy supersedes federal law. Just because marijuana is legal in (state) doesn’t mean you get to smoke it at work.” Clearly a transcendent legal mind I’m dealing with. Anyways I’ve already contacted an attorney and regardless will be filing a NLRB complaint. Bye bye boss lol. I will keep y’all updated as much as possible.
