Hey everyone. I was told to post here after posting in a different sub!
I work as a barista for minimum wage in the Midwest USA.
The issue I am having is sometimes our drawer will be off by a little bit (either plus or minus) if it’s more than $1 we are expected to put our own tips into the drawer to make up the difference. If it’s over we are supposed to put it in the cash drop.
This is so hella annoying to me and making me want to quit working there.
What would you do if you were me? I should say I don’t mind this job and have been here for 3 years, but every time this comes up I get pissed off.
