Toxic lead

We got a new lead at my job about a 3 months ago and at first everything was roses, for course. I mean our previous lead talked shit under his breath and threw things. So thought to myself ” couldn't get worse right?” A few weeks in I notice a habit of the lead coming in dead tired, like looks like they're on drugs, and crashing or dropping shit on the lift. Usually followed by cursing or angrily going to cape. I emphasized how we don't need to rush of it means someone getting hurt many times.

Fast forward, I'm in a truck with several loads of bread in it that had been clamped in. I am In between the space where the stack are almost to the tail, but we stop loading them because one fell over. I am on a ladder, restocking these trays, when I feel a smashing force and the stacks start sliding. My coworker and I yelled that we were in there, and she didn't hear. She didn't honk beforehand to see if we were good. I fell off a ladder and the other associate almost got crushed.

When I confronted the lead about this they gave me this drunk driver look and said” you guys should let me know something fell over in the there”. And I'm like “No, you honk when you're entering a trailer with PEOPLE in it to make sure everyone knows what's going on” she fought me on this pretty aggressively and got angry and took it to the manager.

The manager ruled that safety is more important and that we need to honk our horns and communicate to be safe.

I'm now getting the silent treatment from the lead, because I chose to be concerned about my own safety…I had to fight myself to comein today, because i cant financially afford to miss another day lol.
