I used to drive 1 hour every day for work. I transferred to a position which opened up just 1 mile from my house. I now regret it because my new boss, who herself was just promoted, is a total bitch.
She puts me down. She complains about my shoes (I have to wear large shoes due to a medical condition) and forces me to buy new clothes and shoes all the time. She is a micro manager to the extreme. Just yesterday someone stole my car keys with my office keys attached. She chewed me out this morning for putting them on the same keychain because “someone might steal it when I get my oil changed”. I told her I have never lost my keys before, and I change my own oil. That didn’t matter. She saw blood in the water and pounced.
She won’t let me off until a whole week to get my new glasses and replace my car key. I regret more than anything transferring my job. I am having such a horrible time.
