Trouble brewing? Or an Ace up the sleeve?

So I work front desk at a Vet clinic. An emergency vet nearby is opening in a couple months, and they have put out a search for customer service reps….at 22-26/hour. This is about +4-8 bucks more than any of us now. To be fair, I'm pretty happy where I am, but damn those rates are very tempting….and not just me. My coworkers have seen the ad as well. The only difference is we'd be looking at 10 hour days….which sucks IMHO. But if any of my coworkers head over there, the rest of us are screwed. We're already at rough numbers. So where to go from here? Jump ship? Or try to push the manager into bigger raises this year?
