Trying to plan my return to work

I have stage 4 colon cancer and have been on disability since March/April. I'm only making 60% of my income, my wife can't work because she's my care taker as I can't drive, bend over etc etc. My neuropathy in my hands is hiding how long I can use my computer keyboard. I'm an electrical designer by trade and I really want to return part time to boost my income a little and get back in the saddle. But here's my dilemma. My company has been very supportive, but the work is not satisfying. I was already thinking about leaving but I feel genuinely awful. Not for the company, but there are great people here, but I'm so unsatisfied and my career isn't going to go where I want it to if I stay here. I don't practice loyalty to a company, but someone who has earned it? I'll always try my best, but this cancer has really opened my eyes to what is important and it isn't laying out receptacles in a fucking Target or HEB.
