Turned in my notice

I took a leap of faith and handed in my two weeks' notice at the church where I've been working. Despite an unwritten rule about quitting before Christmas events, I prioritized my well-being and family. My boss and the main pastor are giving me the cold shoulder, but I believe it's the right choice for me. Family comes first, and I'm fortunate to have the flexibility to focus on freelancing without stressing about bills. My soon-to-be ex-boss is rallying others, particularly those under me, to his side. When my team approached me, I emphasized that there are no sides; just reassure him it’ll be okay and just keep moving forward. It's disappointing to find toxicity in a church setting, but sadly, it's not entirely surprising.
