So I (30/M) am looking to change my availability at my 9 to 5 blue collar job from Monday to Friday to a shorter Monday through Thursday in order to get my own business started and off the ground. The only problem is that my boss has once fired a guy for changing his availability in the past, and I was worried he’d do the same to me. Now my question is, would I then qualify for unemployment benefits if he did just that? Or is that a misconduct firing?
