Growing up, my parents would express to me that as a salaried employee, I might need to put in some long hours at work at the behest of my employer for no additional pay. Their reasoning was that while this seemed unfair, it is a fair trade off for having a stable profession/career and a nice office, white collar lifestyle. How do you all feel about this?
