UPDATE : expected to do everyone’s dishes

Thanks y'all for the suggestions and laughs on the last post! This is just a small update regarding the post I made yesterday. I ended up taking the more professional route and wrote up a very polite and solution driven email. This is what my boss texted me after reading it lol For context the prior receptionist worked for them for 12 years and would do the dishes for them and then when she left the company, the person in charge of marketing did them until they found a new receptionist and so I guess it was just expected I do them. Also, the text about their personal containers, they rarely ever use their own personal containers, they usually always use company dishes which is why I said it really doesn't make a difference. This is just a small update regarding the post I made yesterday. I ended up taking the more professional route and wrote up a very polite and solution driven email.

This is what my boss texted me after reading it lol

For context the prior receptionist worked for them for 12 years and would do the dishes for them and then when she left the company, the person in charge of marketing did them until they found a new receptionist and so I guess it was just expected I do them.

Also, the text about their personal containers, they rarely ever use their own personal containers, they usually always use company dishes which is why I said it really doesn't make a difference.

When it says “don't expect ___ and I to do the dishes” he is referring to himself (engineer and co-president of the company) and his partner (also engineer and holds the same status).

And by saying “replace the dishes” he means putting them in the cabinet

A little nervous for tomorrow, we'll see if they fire me lol.
