Still kinda processing the news. Made a few posts about her here previously, but for anyone who didn’t see them, a recap:
Late last year i got a new director for my department where my good friend was my manager and had recruited me to join his team and help rebuild the department for the nonprofit we work for. Within the first week of her starting, the new director committed violence against my friend for disagreeing with her professionally and my friend filed a complaint about the incident with HR. Two weeks after that, she and the acting HR director fabricated evidence and framed my friend for a crime to justify terminating him immediately, and then she gave his job to her unqualified friend. A month after this she began a campaign of harassment and intimidation against me and the rest of my friend’s team while forcing the 3 of us to do the entire departments work while her favorites just relaxed and took credit. Multiple complaints of harassment, violence, bullying, and intimidation against have gone nowhere. 1 team member started kissing her ass and stopped getting harassed. The 2nd targeted person resigned a month ago and found a new job, while I’m the last remaining member of the team that’s been getting harassed and targeted. I finally got HR to step up monitoring and I’d gone from being actively harassed to being treated as nonexistent.
Anyways, a couple days ago HR sent out an internal recruitment notice for the Director’s position. I spoke to my manager yesterday, who’s been just absolutely useless and trying to be nice while enabling the Director, and she confirmed that the Director submitted her resignation and will be moving on. Her last day is next month, and I think I’ll be taking some PTO to skip whatever farewell they plan for her.
I’m also considering applying for her job since I have about 70% of the MQs, and the outgoing Director publicly admitted a few months ago that she was thoroughly unqualified for the job when she was hired and just winging it.
