I have a new job and I start on Tuesday next week and will be making more an hour plus have access to benefits my old job did not have. Ya'll were right. The hiring manager was disgusted when I told her why I was let go from my prior position.
I'm still waiting to hear back from an even better job with the State and if I get it will have to respectfully decline this position I was hired for -pending background check that will come back clear-, but for right now I'm happy that I'll have steady employment again.
No, I did not go to any news outlets and make a stink about it. I don't care for the spotlight. I'm actually quite excited for the new job as I'd be firmly a background character instead of playing a main role (provided no emergencies occur.)
It's a big giant FU to my prior employer and I couldn't be happier.
