Anyone's boss “used to have a guy” that provided a service that you are now expected to do?
I'm drowning in pallets over here. Like, if I get any more we have no where to put them and we receive 10-15 per week. I'm sitting on like 60-70, and the vendors will only take so many with them.
Apparently, our boss used to have a guy that would pick them up and remove them for free. This guy just ghosted him during covid and now we have no pallet guy. Boss refuses to pay anyone for their removal and demands we find someone to take them for free.
He is set on this. I offered to take them to the dump if he rents the truck for it, but no. That would cost money. Either we find someone to remove them or break them down by hand to go in the compost compactor. He has no interest in helping with this issue in the slightest but needs them cleaned up before the owner comes in.
