I saw complaints about how 'delusional' people are here, and the most fun part about it was seeing the actual requests that were something like: 'I'd like to work 5 hours a day / 20hrs per week and still have health insurance, same pay and benefits'.
How is that “absurd” or “delusional”? So hey instead of working my entire life I'd actually rather be doing anything else because you know, it's my first and only time alive in the whole fucking existence? And that's bad somehow?
We've got 24 hours. So eight I spend in the office (when I'm not forced to work overtime), eight I have to spend sleeping (so I can go to work in the morning again), and in total I have 8 hours to enjoy myself. Actually, I still have to do all house chores, go to the supermaket, study to get a better paying job and if I have children, well…
And asking for minus three hours of worktime is bad?! How if my entire fucking existence is to pleasing people that doesn't do half of my job and gets paid 80% more than me?!??!!
People are so blinded by capitalism that they do not see the effects it has on you. How's your father/mother? I bet they have TONS of medical problems thanks to having to work their ass off all the fucking day.
It's okay if you enjoy what you do for a living, but your situation is not the same by a fast-growing number of people. I fucking hate Reddit sometimes. Jesus fucking Christ.
