Want to employ my child

My daughter (adult) has had some difficult times getting work. We have a very close and loving family and she is a kind, well-adjusted, industrious person whom I would support 100% no matter the circumstances. Until she gets better options, I thought about somehow hiring and paying her. I'm worried that she is getting behind social security contributions, and other work/social related things (employment gaps, etc). I'm not a rich person, I don't have a business, just an average retired person (with some disability). I am willing to use some of my money to pay her, however small. I'm talking small jobs, cooking, household work, clerical (organizing our papers, data etc), whatever else we can think of that can assist me and my spouse. Is this a thing that can be done legally and would it even work for the purposes I mentioned above? We are in the US. Thanks…
