ive been working at this company for 2 years. i dont really adore my job, but i like my colleagues. my current project did not have their contract renewed so it’s about to end. with this, i am now thinking of finally pursuing the job that i want which is a different path that i am on. both jobs are tech-related jobs though if you want to now. anyway, i am already planning on leaving the company to pursue a new job, but my manager is asking me to take on trainings for the new project that i will be transferred to. i dont want to do it because i really want to pursue my passion now and i feel like i have given myself enough time to realize what i really want. 2 years in my job and i still want the other path. this has already happened a year ago, i also wanted to leave but my manager put me on a new project. i just dont want to spend another year even though i dont like it here anymore. (the cons here is i still dont have a new job lined up, but i am getting pressured because i may have to start on the new project asap. i have enough savings that i can survive with even though i quit my job.) what are your thoughts?
