If this were a one off I wouldn’t care but this company has been very annoying to work with over the years so here’s some backstory. Found a new job but stayed on part time to fill in some shifts. Noticed I was getting a few extra checks here and here from no longer being enrolled the company’s health insurance.
Then 2 months later all of a sudden my whole 1 day wage goes toward re enrolling in health care and 401k which I was never in to begin with. Now they refunded the health insurance money but are saying the 401k is my problem and have to close the account and have them send me a check for the $12.
I have a draft email saying “just to confirm, you’re saying it’s now my problem to close out this 401k I was essentially fraudulently signed up for(along with health insurance) and deal with the tax nonsense over $12?” But holding off on advice before sending. Seems like not a big enough deal to involve lawyers or anything but any advice?
