Same as the title really. Interviewed for a pretty junior position in a new field for me. I was asked what motivated me and when I explained it was career progression and professional development I was told they see it as a red flag because they want someone to stay in the role for as long as possible instead of having to constantly promote people and fill the junior roles all over again.
To me, this is a red flag in itself and I’ve never experienced it before. I don’t really care, I need the job but still….
