For context, where I work has both full time employees that are employed directly by the company, and then temps who are employed here through temporary hiring agencies.
Both work the same hours and are expected to present the same level and quality of work, but temps are paid about a dollar less per hour.
I worked at this company as a temp for a little over a year, then transitioned to full time when my lead and some coworkers encouraged me to go for it.
At the same time, the company announced that a 3% raise was going to all full timers, and hey, I'm about to be a full timer so that's great!
I wait and nothing happens, so a lead I'm friends with emails our HR person about it and it turns out the raise was pushed out the day right before I became a full timer, so therefore I didn't qualify. Ignoring all the work I did before as a temp. It's infuriating. It's only a few cents of difference, sure, but it can add up.
I've gotten to be annoyed by this for the last few weeks.
