So at my job,we’re supposed to go on break within a 5 hour window of coming in otherwise the store supposedly gets hit with a fine (NY rule management said?) We have openers,mid,and closers. The hours are what the respective names sound like. You have to go in order of who came in/time.
We have this one guy who doesn’t like taking his break on time and likes to go later than the closers which isn’t allowed but also he screws the closers over because no one is communicating either on who’s going when. It’s been an ongoing issue for a year or two even with new employees.
Back to today,my coworker who became my friend too,asked me if I wanted them to tell our manager to enforce break times because I’ve told this guy before hey go on break during x time or once he’s finished helping someone. (I.e mid shift comes in 11:00 AM) I’m like sure. Later my manager sees me and says he told so and so to take his break on time. I was like “how’d you know” and he said “your other half” which made me feel really uncomfortable.
He always calls us “the wonder twins” as a reference to some old super heroes that couldn’t use their powers unless they touched hands. He makes this joke several times a week. Him and everyone else in the store also makes fun of us calling us twins because we wear a similar colored cardigan,have glasses,and they recently bleached half their hair blonde while my hair has blonde money pieces.
This job has caused me to lose my sanity.
