We should request more flexible schedules due to ‘inflation’

Currently filling out a form for yearly reviews and it's asking what I need to succeed in the next year. If companies can use inflation as a blanket excuse for everything, why can't we? I've already started dressing down and cutting my own hair citing I can't afford new clothes and haircuts due to inflation and they don't care as it makes the situation uncomfortable. It's almost funny as my office was recently moved so more clients pass by. Why do i have to sit idly in an office when there's nothing to do? Literally took my first sick day this year recently because I felt like I was going insane. I know the budget was already made. I'm guessing all budgets were made before i was ever born. If they refuse to pay more, at least allow me the opportunity to make more money or make my time work…

I know I probably won't get it. At least they have to think up a new excuse as to why. Even with a stellar review, I doubt I'm signing anything.

Sorry that became a bit of a rant. Just an idea i had
