I Was getting ready for work the other day when my phone notified me of a team's meeting starting. I didn't have anything on my schedule so I was like what the heck is going on. Sure enough, it's my CTO calling me first thing in the morning to let me know that I'm being laid off due to the current economic situation. Nevermind the fact that just a few months ago they had acquired a new company, talked about pay increases company wide and that the company was doing just great. Now I'm up shits Creek.
