I am in a union, so nobody really gets fired you just get “laid off” but its essentially the same thing. You don't get sent any work/jobsites and are just ghosted by your former employer. So I went to the ER Monday morning and notified my boss. He was in communication and had me send my medical paperwork over to the safety guy. Fast forward to Wednesday night after my doctor's excuse is up and i hear nothing from my boss (while actively trying to contact him) and am getting ghosted. It's just so stupid that I finially found a company I like and the people I enjoy and the work is okay and it can all be ripped away from you due to your physical health. Now because my health was fucked up its all taken away and I have to start over at a new company once my union reps gets back to me in a week or two. I guess I should've just went to work and collapsed at work and possibly died due to a respitory infection instead of going to the ER? I don't know man this whole system is fucked.
