Any tips on wording for a letter to my almost ex boss stating how they can’t keep staff due to pay? Long story short I work at a small business, my direct boss has nothing to do with pay, that’s all the owner. Months ago I asked my boss for a raise and was given some change basically. I asked again and was told there just wasn’t any money. My direct boss has been asking the owner for months for raises and has consistently been told there’s absolutely no money for that and they just can’t budget it. So I quit. Then the owner all of a sudden could pay be multiple full dollars more to match my new job and I would be paid more than anyone else. My direct supervisors daughter is my age and works there, she does more than me and was there when the raise was offered and she doesn’t even get paid what I was offered. My direct supervisor is upset and everyone’s unhappy. The owner is threatening my supervisor because “she can’t keep a staff” when it has nothing to do wit( her and literally all to do with pay but the owner would rather spend months on her boat and going on vacations than pay everyone a wage that makes them stay. Anyway she won’t do an exit interview with me because she’s mad but my direct supervisor really wants me to say something so she can stop getting blamed. I want to write a letter and honestly it’s fine if it burns a bridge with the owner but I still want to be professional. Any tips are appreciated, I’m basically just wanting to say that she needs to pay more lol (and before you say don’t do it I know it’s likely useless but my supervisors asking and she’s done a lot for me so I can do this for her)
