I had this reflection some time ago, when i heard about the anti-nepo sentiment. People are apparently fed up with the fact that most of the new stars of Hollywood are sons and daughters of big stars.
I thought this just resonates in society because that's the road the entire society in taking. In a growing number of fields and professions, the only way to get in is to be born in it. The very tangible effect of growing inequality is that the society is turning into a medieval-kind of birth society where anything to get hope to get when you grow up, no matter how talented, how hard-working you are, is where your parents are.
Now with Hollywood strikes i wonder how much of it rely on the entire country where there is growing movement of old fashion workers social movement for better wages and work condition. What do you think about this ?
