Long:
Context: I’m 3 months into a new agency role and things have been going great for the most part. Hybrid work from home. I’ve been getting along well with everyone, delivering to deadlines and getting great feedback from the client, haven’t drop the ball here once. I’m assigned to 2 clients, client #1 has an OG designer who is solely focussed on them and I’m split. He’s been there for some time, is quite introverted and sometimes gives me a hard time about doing things a certain way but I take this feedback on.
Today I had a catch up with my manager out of the blue and received some pretty harsh feedback that has made me to feel like I’m in need of handholding and am doing a lot wrong?? FYI he openly admitted all of this feedback stemmed from a chat with the OG designer and the OG designer alone…wow ok
Below is the email I received in follow up to the meeting… (most of these actions were not described in the meeting). Im very hard on myself and take accountability for everything, this has really come out of no where. None of this seems measurable? Are they trying to push me out or perhaps is this OG designer feeling threatened? What should I do?

Just a follow-up to our conversation from this afternoon with a plan for you for the next two weeks:
Could you work from the office for the next two weeks so we can catch-up daily
I’ve put in a daily stand-up for us to go over blockers and tasks for the day
Our Monday team catch-up we will do a quick workshop to discuss the client sprint and any clarification you need
Expectations over the next two weeks:
Attention to detail on any Design System work
Client #2 we will focus on our tickets from account manager and get those approved by me
OG designer to lead the client facing conversations over the next two weeks
Any designs for client #1 to go through OG designer for approval
Note taking at every meeting
Watch our candid conversations with team members (if someone is busy let them work)
Do some research into Impact vs Effort to bring to the table on Monday
Over communicate any issues with workload or blockers with myself
Over-all we are trying to give you all the tools and help you need to meet our expectations as an agency team member”
