I've been struggling to get a job for about a month and a half now. So far, out of dozens of applications, I've had two interviews. Let's talk about how they went!
The first: Metro by T-Mobile.
I had applied to this job on Indeed, and received a message saying they'd like to interview me at 1:00 PM. Sounds great, right? Well, apparently, whoever is in charge of that Indeed profile told every single applicant to come in at the same day and same time, and nobody was informed about that. Not the owner, not the manager, not the employees, nobody had a clue. How does that happen?! The manager was so overwhelmed that the owner, who apparently never does interviews, had to help interview people.
The second: Wendy's.
This one is hot off the press. I applied online, and received a notification from a bot shortly after that I was eligible to schedule an interview. So, I did. That was for 2:00 PM today. Now, unfortunately, I don't have a driver's license yet so my mother had to give me a ride over there. That'll come up in a minute. I go in at about 1:55, talk to the cashier and let them know I'm here for the interview, and they tell me that the manager isn't in today. …EXCUSE ME? HOW. DOES. THIS. HAPPEN? The interview was scheduled two days prior, in what world is there any feasible excuse for that to occur? My mother and I made room for this today, which happens to be her day off, and this is what happens? Absolutely unacceptable, even my mom is absolutely baffled that this is the world we live in right now. Unreal.
